Mountain Woods Golf Club Welcomes Dave Davey

I am very pleased to announce that Mountain Woods Golf Club has hired Dave Davey, Superintendent Class A, to oversee and develop the turf-grass department of our club. Dave has spent his last 17 seasons as the superintendent at Memramcook Golf Club. Please find below some of Dave’s accomplishments:

1. 2012 Atlantic Canadian Superintendent of the Year.

2. 2010 - 2011 President of Atlantic Golf Course Superintendent’s Association and the Atlantic Turf Research Foundation.

3. Certified IPM practitioner. Possesses a valid pesticide applicators certificate for NB.

4. Dave has published numerous articles pertaining to turf-grass maintenance and plant health.

5. 1989 – 1993: Bachelor of Science in Biology at UPEI with a major in plant biology including 24 courses in plant sciences.

6. 1996 – 1998: Landscape Horticultural Technology 2-year program at Nova Scotia Horticultural College. (Graduated with high honors) Dave took extra courses in disease management and studied the Guelph University turf-grass home program for professional turf-grass managers.

Dave is very excited to get started and looks forward to meeting you at the opening members meeting.
